Mikey and Raph uncover that Hob is trying to form an army of mutants with the help of Slash, the question is are they going to stop him or will they reluctantly let him continue?
This issue continues from where we left off in issue #34. Each issue has been setting up pieces to a bigger story line but what is that story line? What makes this issue so much fun is that we don't know exactly what is going on and we don't know what Hob's true intentions are (of course I’m sure we could all guess).
You see different sides of characters such as Hob who seems to have taken on a fatherly type role for Slash.
We also get to see Mikey and Raph alone together and see how each of their personalities bounce off of one another. After reading this issue you really understand that these two characters are complete opposites in terms of how they see the world.
It looks as if Hun has turned completely to the dark side. The last time we saw this character he was told to kill his son Casey but instead he told Casey to take some money and get out of town, Casey refuses and now Hun has to do what he originally did not want, he has to kill his own son for the Sheredder.
What I really love about this series is that it takes characters and elements from the original comics and cartoons and integrates them so well into this universe, it is a fun, exciting and hilarious ride and each issue has me anxiously waiting for the next issue.
